Freedom Travel Community

Places worth going. People worth knowing.

You spent years building a business in pursuit of freedom.

The freedom to choose your time. To travel. To experience more. To spend time with family and the people you enjoy. And eventually, to decide what comes next.

Why would an M&A firm do this?

Because our relationship with a founder shouldn’t have to end when the transaction closes.

We work with owners before, during and after some of the biggest transitions of their lives. We’ve learned that financial freedom is only one part of what founders are looking for.

They also want connection. New experiences. Perspective. And sometimes they simply want to sit across from someone who has been in their shoes and have a conversation they can’t have with their employees, customers or even their closest friends.

That’s why we created the Freedom Travel Community.

Freedom Travel Community group on the slopes

This isn’t a business retreat.

There’s no membership. No monthly meetings. No speakers. No workshops. No training room. And no agenda.

Our trips are small-group adventures built around extraordinary places and the opportunity to experience them alongside other business owners.

Part adventure. 100% real relationships.

We don’t manufacture the conversations. We create the opportunity for them to happen.

On a chairlift. Around a dinner table. On a trail. Over a drink. Or somewhere none of us expected when we booked the trip.

You don’t have to explain what it’s like to own a business.

The people travelling beside you already understand.

  • Some are still building.
  • Some are considering an exit.
  • Some are going through one.
  • Others have already sold and are discovering what comes next.

Conversations are treated as confidential, creating a place where owners can talk openly with people who have been in their shoes and genuinely want to support one another.

No pitch. No obligation. No strings attached.

Just owners supporting owners.

We’re not building another business club.

You don’t need to attend meetings or participate in a program. Choose an adventure that interests you and come with us.

  • You might find a new perspective on your business.
  • Meet someone who has already navigated the decision you’re wrestling with.
  • Find a future mentor, business partner, investor or friend.

Or you might simply have one hell of a trip.

All of those are good outcomes.

Before the exit. During the exit. After the exit.

ClaritySometimes getting away from the business is exactly what you need to see it differently.
ConnectionSpend time with owners who understand the responsibility, isolation and opportunity that come with ownership.
PerspectiveLearn from people who have approached growth, succession, selling and life after ownership differently.
AdventureGo somewhere worth going and experience it properly, with people worth knowing.
What’s NextBecause selling your business isn’t the end of the founder journey. It’s the beginning of whatever you choose to do next.

Your Business Takes a Lot From You. It’s Time to Take Something Back.

Step away from the day-to-day. Go somewhere remarkable. Relax, recharge and spend time with other owners who understand both the passion and the pressure that come with building a business.

Take the break. Keep the passion. Find the people who understand both.

Freedom for Founders doesn’t run these trips as a profit centre. We secure the group room block ourselves, which locks in the week and the price and helps ensure our group travels together. We share the deposit risk with our travel partner, Expedia Cruises (Kitchener), betting alongside them that the trip sells out.
